It just now showed up for me... searching 'Mavericks' in App Store. 5 mins ago, it wasn't there...

Downloading it now from the App Store will mess with our installation? I mean, would it install right after the download or it'll just download the app?

It just download the installer. Maybe it can be launched automatically, but you can just close it. You can't use the installer directly with Chameleon/Chimera bootloader (have to create a USB Installer first), only Clover bootloader can.

Or alternatively you can use disk utility to restore the image to a spare partition then boot into the installer
