Hi, am curious whether anyone has been successful in tapping the Marvell 6gb SATA ports (white) in a Gigabyte board.

Using a p55a-4p board. First tried putting an LG GH24 DVD burner on one of the ports, kernal panic. BIOS actually was detecting the drive as IDE, strange.

Moved the burner to one of the Intel blue ports and a HD to the white ports, all ok.

Profiler says the HD is connected to an "Unknown AHCI Controller"

Using latest firmware, DSDT from the database.

There are currently no drivers for the SATA 3 controller.
