Hi,
I upgraded to Yosemite recently and along the way I decided to upgrade to Clover and UEFI booting. After getting everything except sound working, I decided to see if I could patch the AppleHDA.kext file and get native sound working on my ALC898 mobo. Well, that didn't work and short time after that the other device I used for sound (Logitech USB Headset, H540) started working intermittently. I would be watching a movie on Youtube fine and then the sound stop, the movie would pause and when I checked my sound devices, the headset was not registered at all. Then, about a minute later it came back on it's own.
I tried installing the ALC898 driver through Multibeast, but that didn't work. So, I tried VooDooHDA 2.8.7 and I have working audio out of my motherboard, but still the audio out the USB headset still works only intermittently. Could anyone guide me as to what I can do to recover both sound devices?
Thanks,
