Mad Catz R.A.T. 3 - Mouse needs to be unplugged and replugged for the driver to recognize it

This is still the same version we have. Nothing new here, yet.
Version 1.1.69 still has the "wake from sleep no hover" problem.

Updated to El Capitan and mouse worked. However, I was having issues with the cursor jumping across the screen entirely on it's own. So re-installed the same driver I was using (1.1.69) and now the driver crashes every time I try and start the profile editor.

I've uninstalled the RAT driver and have installed USB Overdrive. I'll post results after I test it for a while.

Sadly, I retired the R.A.T. 7 mouse. I think the sensor didn't survive the fit of rage I had while playing BF4 . I can remember that night a few weeks ago when I picked up the mouse in frustration and, ahem, "banged" it on the table a few times... My troubles began shortly after that.

RIP RAT7.

Hello Tonymac community,

I hope this question hasn't been answered before, but I couldn't find anything the like, so I'm gonna ask away: I recently bought a Mad Catz R.A.T. 3 mouse. For this mouse Mad Catz offers OS X software which lets you configure the buttons, adjust the DPI settings and so on. You can save your settings in a profile. So far so good.

Now everytime I boot up the mouse software doesn't recognize the mouse and therefore won't load my profile. I have to unplug and replug the mouse manually for the software to see my device.

Could this have to do with my Mac being a hackintosh and somehow having bugged USB connections? I cannot explain it in any way. All the USB ports seem to work just fine (for example OS X has no problem detecting external drives on bootup even if I don't unplug and replug them). And once the mouse is plugged in again everything works as it should, too.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Here is my problem: i bought the rat 3 i plugged in the new mouse it worked but i needed to install the drivers and the software like the manual did, in the middle of the driver installation the mouse function was disabled and the drivers werent installed, so i couldnt move the cursor and the buttons also dont work, the led and evertthing lights up but the functions didnt. I tried reinstall the drivers but it says an picture that i need to plug my mouse in i replugged but didnt do anything, if i install the mouse software not driver its says connect your usb device and try again so i now have a non functional mouse?
