macOS Ventura Public Beta 3 Update

Can you show us ‘As I can see’, RX580 only supports Metal 2 from what I’ve read.

RX580 only supports Metal2. It doesn't support Metal3.

For Metal3 you need to be using a Vega56/64 or newer AMD GPU.

I have an RX580 and it wrongly reports Metal 3 supported, only Vega56/64 or newer AMD GPU supports Metal 3 as stated.

The smaller Software update from Beta 2 to Beta 3 errored out on my system so, on retry, it then downloaded the large 11+ GB update and that worked fine. So far no issues with Ventura Build 22A5321d running with OC 0.8.3.

There was an issue with the original Beta 3 release, which was fixed a couple of days after the initial Beta 3 release. Lilu.kext was updated and if I recall correctly Apple issued a new installer for Beta 3.

I can’t remember the size of the download I used now but using the full installer may be a better option than using the smaller update, as the system is less likely to have retained any incompatible kexts, settings etc.

Updated to the third public beta of macOS Ventura without issues (OpenCore 0.8.3)

After testing the previous beta in a 120GB Kingston SSD drive, now it's running in a new 500GB Crucial MX500 SSD drive with an excellent performance.
