I realize no one knows exactly when we'll get the final release, but any guesses? September or October?

I've updated all the betas so far, but I dont want to get attached to using it if I have to reinstall from the ground up in the final release...

Yup, but they're pretty broken on my 980. SceneKit/Metal's 3D support often doesn't render anything at all (like you're running in VMware), and basic 2D functions seem significantly slower than under El Cap. I'm sure it'll all get resolved in a future driver update.

For those with screen glitches there is a simple solution fix (until official support), need to reduce transparency see attached.
For me it working, SO FAR NO CUDA support on 10.12
