How come there´s no NVME support when building af Hackintosh?
My retina MacBook shows NVME in system profiler...

Oh, thanks. I was more thinking about plug ´n play. Maybe it´s easier to go with a original Apple SSD with adapter card...

Much easier. Apple's SSDs are AHCI though, not NVMe.

Well, they also seems to be rather expensive, and seldom as well. At ebay there´s a lot, but you have to know the exact model no., which I´m not all that into. I guess yours is a Samsung SM951 with the Apple connector?

I started my build with an Apple SSUBX that I originally used in my Mac Pro. I later sold the SSUBX and bought a 512GB SM951 AHCI for $235. Under both instances, no special drivers were needed and macOS worked fine with them. This was with El Capitan and Sierra.

The SM951 AHCI seems to be unavailable here in Denmark were I live. I've one in my Mac Pro, but the plan is to sell it along with Mac itself...

The SM951 AHCI and the SSUBX, in my opinion, are the best options for macOS. The performance of both are pretty much the same.
