What is this update calculating? Space on the Recovery partition? Available space on the drive for expanding the recovery partition? It has been sitting there "calculating" for half an hour now.

Mine completed in less than five minutes - Including the download.

Same here for me - GB me thinks you'll have to interrupt the download reboot and start it again.
Tried that. Tried again this morning - no dice. It still hangs at calculating.

Are you doing the iTunes and Recovery partition updates at the same time ?

I tried on a different build and it hung as you describe when I clicked Update all.
I clicked on more and then updated the Recovery partition and when that finished did the iTunes.

No, I always do updates separately - if one hangs I cancel and go to the next one until all are done. Started the update 2 hours ago and it is still calculating. I am going to cancel, turn on auto updates and reboot it. Let the system do it on its own for once.

Sounds like a plan.

Good Luck
