Hello
I'm having hard time to understand how MacOS BigSur & Monterey Works with BlackMagicDesign Desktop Video Installation

What I did on Big Sur
  1. I launch the Desktop Video installation
  2. Just before the end, a pop window with a Button appears ➧ Open Security Prefpan
  3. I Click on and Unlock the Security Prefpan
  4. i click on the Button "authorize" for Blackmagic Extension
  5. Then a message saying it's rebuilding the kext caches
  6. the reboot start
  7. Everything Work Fine
But a Monterey
The 6th step never happen and Desktop Video isn't working after reboot

How come Monterey doesn't rebuild Kext cache during installation ?
How can I do it Manually ?

Thanks in advance

Another fail
I Disabling SIP in my config.plist ➧ NVRAM ➧ Add ➧ 7C436110-AB2A-4BBB-A880-FE41995C9F82 ➧ csr-active-config : FF0F0000
Is there a new flag for monterey ?
Then I launch kext Updater

I hit the Tools Buttons
then Start (System partition Status) Read Only ➧ reand&Write
then Start (rebuilding Caches)

Any idea ?

I succeed by installing BlackMagicDesign Desktop Video 12.1 instead of 12.2.x or 12.3
But it's a temporary solution ... because all recent BlackMagicDesign installer do not work !!

Same here, 12.1 works, newer fails.
Did you find a solution?

Well, After Investigating I have good news! :)
1. Install Desktop Video 12.4
2. Before Reboot launch Terminal and enter:
sudo mv /Library/Application\ Support/Blackmagic\ Design/Blackmagic\ DeckLink/Signed\ Extensions/BlackmagicIO.kext /Library/Extensions
3. Restart
4. Update firmware
5. Have Fun! :)
