macOS Native CPU/IGPU Power Management

Hey, many thx for the guide. Although I can't seem to make it work properly.
1) iGPU PM not working (I assume), CPU PM not working correctly
- I noticed in intel power gadget that when I have [plugintype=NO + no ssdt] that the CPU has lower clocks in the same conditions, does the gadget reports correctly is that possible?
2) High Sierra, Asus Hero VII, bios 320, intel i7 4790k
3) currently
- plugintype=NO
- XCPM ssdt intalled
- rename GFX0 -> iGPU copy paste plist

Dear guys,

please somebody explain me the difference between SSDT/PluginType=1 and SSDT/Generate/PluginType=Yes?
They both need to be as you described (there are two entries if you take a look at the ssdt section in clover configurator) but SSDT/PluginType = 1, can normally be omitted because it is 1 by default, so if it is not set in clover and not set by anything else then SSDT/Generate/PluginType=Yes is the only one that needs setting explicitly. I always set both just to be sure. Not sure of the history but somewhere along the line they decided there would be two types of plugin (0 and 1) but Ive never known any type 0's

explain me the difference between
SSDT/PluginType=1 and SSDT/Generate/PluginType=Yes?
For CPU PM:
SSDT/PluginType=1, does not work
SSDT/Generate/PluginType=Yes, works
Post #1:
  • config.plist/ACPI/SSDT/Generate/PluginType=YES

Post #1, no mention of SSDT/PluginType=1

When I use XCPM option (no SSDT at all) with plugintype=yes it never idles at lowest frequency, always jumping.... should it be like that ?
Yes, Ivy Bridge base freq is 1600 MHz, not 800 MHz

iGPU PM not working (I assume), CPU PM not working correctly
IGPU PM is working
CPU PM is not working
AppleLPC is not loading, see Post #1/Notes/3. 9 Series/LPC
Install ssdt, restart. Put attachments in a folder and compress, attach zip file.

Yes, I know. But when idle, Intel Power Gadget show jumping frequency, Like 1600, 1900, 2400, and goes back to 1730, 1600, 1800, 2700 and so on and so on. Never completely idle @ 1600 like it does when using pikerAlpha's SSDT.aml. There are no cpu-eating processes in task manager...

Thx I'll give a try and post my findings

@toleda
UPDATE -- >Hey, so I took ur advice and installed LPC ssd for 9 series so, apple LPC kext loads. If u be so kind good u give it a look again, cause I think CPU never goes to idle state (=800mhz).. or maybe its how osX works:

1) iGPU PM not working (I assume), CPU PM not working correctly
u said it works so I'm ok with it :)
2) High Sierra, Asus Hero VII, bios 3201, intel i7 4790k
3) currently
- plugintype = NO
- QPI = 100 ( I think I found that in one of ur posts, saying that it needs to be valued=100 cause intel gadget doesn't report correctly otherwise. )
- XCPM ssdt intalled
- LPC ssdt installed
- rename GFX0 -> iGPU copy paste plist

*DPCImanager link not working, soureForge links the app as malware lol ?
