macOS Native CPU/IGPU Power Management

thanks a lot!
for some cosmetic reasons I'd prefer them under cpu.
should I extract and edit DSDT to fix the "issue"?

Although renaming them is possible, it is not recommended. It is likely you have SSDTs (maybe even some dynamic ones) that depend on the names coded into DSDT.

There is no reason to rename them.

Hi all,

Got 2 questions about my rig trying CPU PM :
- Intel power gadget graphics sometimes reports "holes" in graphs
- I only see CPU C6-Cores line in AppleIntelInfo output whereas guide detail shows CPU C2/C3/C7-Cores lines

Could this be tied to a bad CPU PM or else misconfiguration from me ?

Many thanks

Did you set Post #1/Requirements/2. BIOS as noted?
re-applied BIOS requirements :
  • Load Optimized Defaults
  • Verify stock clock
but seems that do not change IPG and AppleIntelInfo outputs

Not a problem CPU PM is working

Noted - thanks !
Is it regular not having CPU C2/C3/C7-Cores lines in AppleIntelInfo outputs
or is it another problem not tied to CPU PM needed to be posted elesewhere from this thread ?

Those sleep states apply to 4770K
In this thread, 7700K sleep states: a. C3 and C6 and b. C6 only
C3: sleep/stops all internal clocks
C6: deep sleep/very low voltage
Verify BIOS/.../CPU Configuration/CPU Power Management Configuration/CPU C States
CPU C3 Report
CPU C6 Report
etc.

Verify BIOS
BIOS shows up : C3 - C6/C7 - C8 idle states support - setted to "auto"
to avoid OT here - will search the forum threads learning how OS X targets C-states !

I tried to implement native PM with PluginType method, but now frequency is always around 4.0 Ghz, I did something wrong?
