From what I have seen so far apfs overwrites any hps file system. A couple of beta updates ago it forced my hps to use apfs..that is usually a sign of things to come

Hi there,

I'm using amd hd7950 with the betas of High Sierra but sleep/wake does not work. I have lilu and whatevergreen kexts in other folder but it still does not work. Mac OS Sierra sleep works fine though.

Thanks

Successfully installed beta 8 on M.2 NVMe Corsair MP500 120GB with APFS.efi. Corsair MP500 Is recognized by High Sierra. No patch required.
Hello

Did you use APFS?
Did you experience the slow boot-related issues mentioned in this thread that can affect some 3rd party SSD when trim is enabled (TRIM is always enabled for NVMe drives AFAIU):

In other words, do you think/know that the MP500 is among the list of NVMe drives that are not problematic when formatted as APFS?

Thank you very much in advance for your help.
Best,

Hello,

I use APFS and I have no problems on formatting as APFS. M.2 NVMe Corsair MP500 is compatible with Mac Os and it has TRIM enabled by default. No TRIM Patch required. I used this SSD starting with High Sierra Beta 7 and I didn't notice any problem with it. I have chosen this SSD because it is compatible with Mac Os.

I have posted a speed test here: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...8-is-now-available.230841/page-2#post-1576911
