Late to the party... updated to OC 0.7.6 (God bless OCValidate), started update through System Update... went up and took a shower, came back and all was well. Everything appears to work.

Updated AsRock X570M Pro4 3700x system from 11.6 to 12.0.1. Lost the I211AT onboard network card. Wifi still worked. Updated from 12.0.1 to 12.1 and lost the BCM43224 WiFi because Airportbrcmfixup.kext crashes the boot.

Everything worked in 11.6 but not so lucky with 12.1. OC 0.7.6. Still looking for solutions.

Edit: Just updated my A1076 iMac (Intel NUC) from 12.0.1 to 12.1 and the BCM43224 WiFi died. Its obvious that Apple made some change to Monterey between the two versions to deny Broadcom Mini-PCIe cards.

Was running 11.6.2 on OC 0.6.4, built a new OC 0.7.6, replaced EFI on HDD and updated to 12.1
Flawless!

UPDATED with problem ...

When I rebooted for the first time, and accessed the update installation picker entry, the system rebooted before completing the installation.

After several unsuccessful attempts, choose to download the new version of the macOS installer, do a clean installation of mac OS 12.1 and migrate all the backup applications with the Migration Assistant APP.

After the above, everything works correctly

My system data:
MB: Gigabyte Aorus Gaming 9
CPU: X299 10980XE
GPU: Radeon Vega Frontier 16GB
RAM: 64GB DDR4
SSDS: Samsung 850, 960, 970, 980 pro
WIFI: Fenvi T919
BOOT: Open Core: 0.7.6 - MacPro7.1

Smooth update after Opencore update from 0.6.6 to 0.7.6
Then updated from 11.5 to 12.1 without issues.

I forgot to mention that I faced "Slow boot because of my Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus 500GB"
after the update :-X
So I decided to do a clean install on the Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus, and miracle slow boot issue has been cured

Update went smoothly on my XPS 9570 using OC 0.7.6.
However, this update broke Microsoft Outlook search function.
And this happens on real Macs too.
Please take caution if you use your hack as daily working machine.
I'm now trying to find a way to rollback to 12.0.1...

Updated from 12.0.1 to 12.1 with OC 0.7.6.

Update crashed in the first attempt due to my BCM94360HMB Wifi/Bluetooth card. Worked smoothly with AirportBrcmfixup.kext under 12.0.1 but obviously not with 12.1. Disabling kext / changing model did not solve the problem.

After all I disabled the mPCIe card in BIOS and the update worked smoothly. Still looking for a way to make Wifi/BT work again.
