Updated from Big Sur 11.2.0 right to 11.2.1 without any problems using OC 0.6.5..
1.Downloaded 11.2.1 from Software Update stated 8-mins for a 2.43GB update.
2.Then Preparing MacOS Big Sur took about 15-mins and i selected the restart option.
3.The 1st reboot automatically selected Macintosh HD.
4.The 2nd reboot automatically selected my macOS drive ( Ryzentosh SSD )
5.The 3rd reboot automatically selected Ryzentosh SSD, screen flashed then stated about 10-mins remaining.
6.The 4th reboot booted to my login screen.

Note :Installation created a startup disk labeled ( Macintosh HD )
I let it choose the startup disk automatically.

Fully working Big Sur 11.2.1 macOS on my AMD Ryzen 7 Hackintosh.
Hope this helps : )

I was in OC 0.6.5 & Big Sur 11.2 - my WiFi was working (TL-WDN48000 - Atheros AR9380 chip).

When I updated to OC 0.6.6 & Big Sur 11.2.1 & WiFi did not work. OS can see the WiFi card, but cannot connect.

After a bit of research, somehow the sequence of AirPortAtheros40.kext & HS80211Family.kext is important! To make WiFi works, I needed to put HS80211Family in front of AirPortAtheros40.kext in config.plist.

For checking SIP, simply type in csrutil status in Terminal, Recovery not needed.

While true you can’t change SIP settings unless you boot into recovery mode into terminal. You can change sip in the config file but I don’t recommend that always have sip enabled it’s more safer.

For example I had SIP enabled but software updated wouldn’t see 11.2.1 but a simple NVRAM -c command, and a reboot showed it.

Updated smoothly without issues, using OC 0.6.5 from Big Sur 11.2.0 to 11.2.1. As usual the internet stopped working after the update. Restarted modem and router, and internet worked.

OC 0.6.6 seems rather complicated to update to.
