Smooth installation here. Upgraded to Opencore 0.6.3, used OCGen X to create fresh EFi, dropped in necessary files and everything works that did before. About 20 minutes with three or four reboots.

Asus p8z77, i5-3570K, RX 5500 XT, 16GB RAM, Clover 5126.
Works great!
Video performance grown up for 50% (92000 to 132000 in compute Geekbench 4)
iMac Pro 2017, sleep, H.264, H.265 full hardware support. Audio - USB e-mu 0204, LAN... Very smooth. No reason to downgrade.
Video rotate in Photo app (came in Big Sur) - is must have feature.
P.S.: missing "rocket" icon... new icon looks like androids "all apps"

After some worries to migrate from Clover to OpenCore on Catalina (Clover to Opencore on GA-Z370 HD3P + UHD 630: no macOS partition), I went through the update to Big Sur like a breeze just by downloading the installer from the App Store and installing like a real mac.
Nice!
NB: I'm currently using OC 0.6.4 pre-release 2020-11-22, and even in debug it's pretty fast to boot.

Using OpenCore 0.6.3, successfully upgraded from Catalina to BigSur in surprisingly fast and problem-free manner. Only issues are with Handoff (only works *to* my Hack, not *from* it) and Sidecar (connects to my iPad Pro, but iPad screen goes blank when connected).

I have this motherboard now, just purchased could you kindly share your EFI folder, thanks

(Not an easy way.) I was still on clover 5118. After upgrade to 5126, I could no longer boot. I found out that I was missing some files. In the end I could boot up with 5126. But then I had sleep/ awake issues and could not restart the system.

That was the point that I decided to move on to OC 0.6.3, and, yes, it took me some time to read and collect all the correct files and configure the config.plist. But it was worth the effort. Everything is working again, and the upgrade to Big Sur was a breeze.

Well, after reading a lot I decided to migrate my hackintosh from Clover to OpenCore to install a fresh Big Sur installation. When you have it well configured it works better than Clover and easier to handle with and faster.

I too am switching to gibMacOS as suggested by xillio, though, it's definitely faster. mobdro
