macOS 11.0 Big Sur is Now Available on the Mac App Store

Other then the shoddy download issues one of the fastest updates I have seen basically was at the speed of three reboots. Maybe that was because I was on RC2 already.

I updated to Opencore 0.6.3 before attempting the upgrade on a 2600k SandyBridge.

I yolo'ed the update straight from Catalina.

I can't believe how far hackintoshing has come over the years.

30 minutes of updating later, flawless upgrade.

Jury's still out on BigSur's aesthetic UI choices, but it's smooth.

getting a rx580 would solve this, but, from what I read, it's a very minor or zero upgrade to the 970 ... Yeah, I got an RX580, I've always used AMD cards since Apple has supported them the whole time. I would probably have gone with Nvidia otherwise. Good to know about the open core and...

All good, quick and easy. It even plays music for you !!!!! Before starting the install was listening to youtube music, and everything just closed, but 5 minutes before the end the music starts playing on an apple logo. awkward but fun as well.

anyway all good, OC 0.6.3 works very well with BS. Thanks again to all involved in this, it's pretty amazing what Clover and OC have managed to do.

Everything working great. Took about 40 mins to install and download.
i9 - Aorus pro - 48gb mem - 4 monitors @4k vega 64 water cooled
Open Core with all updates etc.

Updated my Open Core, and just installed like a real Mac through System Preferences -> Software Update. About 20 minutes and all installed and all good. Love it!
