macOS 10.15.5 Update

For now, all working. The update under OC made things feel like a real Mac, went smooth with 3 restarts.

Under 10.15.4 felt a bit laggy for some reasons. Will report if that's the case on 10.15.5

Updated Lilu and WG to the latest versions, and then upgraded both of my systems with no issues via Sys Preferences.

Catalina 10.15.5 installed without issues on my HackPro5,1 / RX580. I needed to temporarily change the MacModel to MacPro6,1 (with a valid Board-ID) so that the 10.15.5 installer would not block the installation. Once installed, 10.15.5 runs fine with SMBIOS MacModel MacPro5,1 and boot-arg -no_compat_check. My upgrade steps are here.

As pointed out in another thread on here, anyone using Carbon Copy Cloner, and possibly SuperDuper - but I haven't checked SD, please read the WARNING on their website and if you want to make a fresh bootable clone download the new beta.

CCC WARNING

This was a clean and easy update on both my 2012 MacBook Pro and my PowerMac G5 Red. I think that it updated the firmware on the MacBook Pro. On the G5, two reboots, used Clover r5118, and I had to manually select the Install macOS from SSD the first reboot. So far I haven't run into any issues.

I backed up just prior to updating, but I won't do any CCC backups until Catalina 10.15.5 is properly supported, as per their website's warning.
