macOS 10.15.5 Update

clean install 15.4 and update to 15.5 went smooth without any problems.

Smooth update after updating LiLu, Whatevergreen and AppleALC kexts and clover 5118 ! After 2 reboots and about 15 minutes it's working like a charm. Little tip : you may can use Clover Configurator to directly update with new kext ^^ It's even faster than going on GitHub, download, replace kext...

Updated OK, Clover seemed to be selecting the wrong boot drive so I selected this manually on start up and all seems good! I made sure Clover, Lilu, Whatever and AppleALC where all on newest releases in .../Clover/Kexts/Other/.

Did my Update from the app store. I had fresh 10.15.4 install and no problems. I was having issues when my monitor was off my computer rebooted on 10.15.4, and now that problem is gone. it made it more stable

Clover updates too frequently with many unstable versions between stable versions in my opinion. It is unnecessary to update to the latest version unless a macOS version requires.

Good thoughts. Not seeking help here. Just posting my experience with the upgrade. Only mention it because I posted a reply to you earlier that admin moved out.

Done! Another successful update.

Followed usual process. Update Kexts w/ Hackintool. Created bootable backup w/ CCC. Skipped Clover update (running Clover 5107). Ran update from Apple Software Update. No problems.

I also updated my z390 build successfully to 10.15.5. Went smooth! I updated (I actually was already) to the latest clover version and kext files.
