    Today Apple released macOS 10.13.5, a major software update to macOS High Sierra. Update any supported system using the built-in Software Update functionality through the Mac App Store, or by using the standalone installer available from Apple.com.

    Be sure to back up any important data, and if possible clone your hard drive before applying the update. If you have any issues post-update, press spacebar, and boot using Safe Mode.

    What we know about 10.13.5 so far...
    • macOS Build 17F77
    • Updated apfs.efi- download here
    • Updated Intel, NVIDIA, and AMD graphics drivers
    • This update will replace your audio drivers. If you enabled Realtek onboard audio using MultiBeast or the cloverALC script, no changes will be necessary.
    • Install macOS High Sierra App has been updated - If you downloaded macOS High Sierra from the App Store prior to today, and you want to have the latest version on your backup installer USB, simply log into the Mac App Store and click Download. The updated Install macOS High Sierra App can be found in the Applications folder.
    Testing is now underway- this post will be updated. Good luck, and let us know how it goes! Report your results here.

    Pre Update Notes:
    - This update may break some of your High Sierra functions, like audio and the nVidia Web drivers. Make sure you backup first.:thumbup:

    - If you're using nVidia drivers for your GeForce GTX 750, 750Ti, 960, 970, 980, 980 Ti, Titans 'Maxwell' and GTX 10x0 "Pascal" graphics cards, you'll need to install the Nvidia 10.13.5 Web driver(s) after the 10.13.5 update

    - For those who are using the MacPro6,1, iMac15,1, iMac17,1 or iMac18,x system definitions may need to re-apply the black screen fix. The updates to the Lilu.kext, WhateverGreen.kext and NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext are not out; when available, they will be in the Downloads > Kexts area.

    Please post help requests in the High Sierra Desktop Support Forum section (not in this thread).

    Here's the step by step way to update for those who aren't using the Nvidia Maxwell/Pascal graphics cards. For Nvidia Maxwell card users, see below
    :ch: Backup your current installation using Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper;
    :ch: Update to the latest Clover: Downloads > Clover Builds.
    :ch: Update your apfs.efi according to tonymacx86s guide How to Update + Current and Past apfs.efi Downloads;
    :ch: Download the High Sierra 10.13.5 update in Post #1 or the update from Apple's Mac App Store and run it - the updater will reboot upon completion;
    :ch: Upon rebooting into High Sierra after the last reboot, you should:
    :ch: Check to see if your audio is working. If not, run the "two step MultiBeast audio install":
    :ch:Run the MultiBeast and select both (if appropriate):
    :ch:100 / 200 / 300 Series Audio Support <--- use the 7/8/9/ series for those motherboards
    :ch:200 / Z370 Series / X299 Audio Device ID Patch<--- and for these motherboards only
    :ch:Build -> Install
    :ch:Reboot
    :ch:Run MultiBeast again and select:
    :ch:Your audio driver
    :ch:Build -> Install
    :ch:Reboot again
    :ch: (Optional) Update to the latest version of Clover (currently v4428),
    :ch: (Optional) Check to see if your TRIM setting has survived through the update (About this Mac > System > System Report > SATA/SATA Express) - if not, use the "trimforce" Terminal command (1); if you've used the "trimforce" command in 10.13.2, then it should "survive" the update, but check to make sure; and
    :ch:Re-boot.

    For Nvidia Maxwell/Pascal graphic cards users (see 2nd and 3rd note above), you'll need to do the following using the Nvidia web driver for the 10.13.5 Security Update:
    :ch: Backup your current installation using Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper;
    :ch: Update to the latest Clover: Downloads > Clover Builds.
    :ch: Update your apfs.efi according to tonymacx86s guide How to Update + Current and Past apfs.efi Downloads;
    :ch: Modify your /EFI/EFI/Clover/config.plist file to replace the USB port limits patch with the patch in Post #84;
    :ch: Download the High Sierra 10.13.5 update in Post #1 or use the Mac App Store.
    :ch: Download the latest Nvidia web driver for 10.13.5 update.
    :ch: Run the High Sierra 10.13.5 update - the updater will reboot upon completion;
    :ch:200 / Z370 Series / X299 Audio Device ID Patch<--- and for these motherboards only
    :ch:Build -> Install
    :ch:Reboot
    :ch:Run MultiBeast again and select:
    :ch:Your audio driver
    :ch:Build -> Install
    :ch:Reboot again
    :ch: (Optional) Update to the latest version of Clover (currently v4428)

    1 Use the new Terminal trimforce command in the following manner:
    Code (Text):
    sudo trimforce enable

    Updated from AppStore without problems.

    One thing though: No need for Nvidia driver? It is working with default macOS Graphic Driver in 5K Resolution.
    However Night Shift doesn't work, I am still using flux.

    Did you enable the Nvidia version checking hack (Well, the one that DISABLES Webdriver version checking) on your system maybe?

    Just update, everything went fine. I patched the Nvidia driver for my 1080gtx with webdriver.sh (I'm running Nvidia 387.10.10.10.30.107 without any issue, glad they finally fix the lag on the last release!)
    :D

    Not sure, I am only using the nvidia-update script from here.
    But you are right, if I uninstall Nvidia driver the resolution is the default one.
