About.png

Updated through the Apps Store. No problem but the process is different from the previous update.
First black screen with: Installation of the update, remaining …
First shutdown and restart: Clover starts on the macOS install partition; black screen, installation of the update…
Second shutdown and restart: Clover starts again on the macOS install partition; installation of the update but this time with the usual window of Mac OS install…
Third and last shutdown and restart: Clover starts now on your system and again the black screen: end of the installation, remaining…

No issues here with an upgrade directly from the apple store. Soon as Nvidia drivers catch up will be good, until then ran the script to patch and all is good again. Audio and ethernet (and Wifi) all working no issues.

I also noticed the extra install screen which I have not seen before, think it was the 3rd reboot ??

Just a note and I have no idea if this would make any difference but when I first installed High Sierra I opted out of converting my NVMe to APFS

Did 10.13.4 fix lag of Nvidia graphic card?

My install went very well.

One anomally I have found is it thinks my two DELL P2415Q monitors are 5120 x 2880 (5K/UHD+ - Ultra High Definition Plus) when they are only capable of 3840 x 2160!

I removed Whatevergreen and lilu kext's and removed my frame buffer, video ports and de-selected Inject ATI and RadeonDeInit from config.plist.... all is well.

Sleep works, with the fans now ramping up for a few seconds, I can live with that!

iMessages and all the other goodies like AirDrop, AirPlay and Siri work well.

Edit: Not using onboard sound, but the Audio is not on either of my DP monitors (used to be on 10.13.3 and)... not a problem for me ATM.

I'm getting a slightly higher GeekBench 4 score of 133039 (up from yesterdays score of 128739, so it might just be normal variation) and a Luxmark (v3.1) of 12347.

Blender is working well using the GPU, but as always it's around half the speed of the same benchmarks in Windows 10. :thumbdown I believe this a Blender problem though.

Play's HEVC 4K films (Sony Camp 4K Demo.mp4) with very little CPU use... ~ 10% and VTDecoderXPCService ~ 4% .... butter smooth.

The only problem app I have identified is macXConverterPro... it crashes when trying to convert 4K videos to anything else... I'll start another thread for that though if I can't find the solution to the error it gives: "No device available for encoder (device type videotoolbox for codec h264_videotoolbox)"

So can RX580 users delete the lilu.kext file?

I attempted to rerun the clover script and get "no audio codec detected"
I like your theory that its due to the modified webdriver script.
There's been no NVIDIA audio on 10.13.4 betas 5-6. Nothing to do with NVIDIA drivers, AppleHDAController doesn't load.

Thanks for the info!
