macOS 10.13.4 Update

Any chance that I can figure out my mistake. I tried literally everything. BIOS options are correct. Multibeast options are fine. Still getting only average fps in Shadow of Mordor of ~30 and i have so much "lags" or framedrops to 5-6 fps.

If you are experiencing the lag from the Nvidia web drivers, that would be something new. If you have transparency on your Dock and System Information is showing that Metal is supported, that would indicate that the Nvidia web drivers are installed and working.

In the previous two macOS updates, many who were experiencing the lags rolled back to previous releases of the Nvidia web drivers as a workaround.

Thank you very much Bogdanw for the new "kext to patch"...Brilliant.
I upgraded to 10.13.4 and the only thing affected were my USBs. Now, everything works. Golden build.

For reference, my setup is:

Intel Core i5 8600K Coffee Lake
GIGABYTE Z370XP SLI (rev. 1.0)
WD Black 256GB SSD - M.2 2280 PCIe
WD Blue 1 TB 3.5 HD
Saphire Nitro+ RX 580 8Gig
Rosewill AC1900 Broadcom PCI wifi adapter
16 Gig GSkill 3200 DDR4 RAM
Phantek P400 case with Zalman 650 Watt PS

This is strange because i have a Haswell CPU. Maybe I am doing something wrong?

No idea why it's working so much better on the Z87, I keep all my kexts in other on the EFI and all I have there other then FakeSMC are AppleALC, Lilu, NvidiaGraphicsFixUp and networking kexts.

SMBIOS are set to 15.1 in an otherwise mostly empty config.. attached.

As pastrychef said it seems like pre-skylake is not, or less, affected by this.

In the previous two macOS updates, many who were experiencing the lags rolled back to previous releases of the Nvidia web drivers as a workaround.
This is what I ended up doing on the Kaby system and it still works well enough.

where to put this strings? In clover.plist?? Sorry for the question...

Lost CUDA, too. Update should follow soon.
Got Hdmi audio working with the kext enclosed.

I got HDMI audio working with this kext but with one minor nagging issue .MKV files only play the background music but no dialogue when the embedded audio is 5.1. Otherwise great and thanks!!

So your Z270 system is quite usable with NVIDIA's driver?

This is feed back after few hours regular use : quite usable from my point of vue (regular use, no game)
- do not feel particular lag
- could sometimes be faster/smoother (safari use, app launch) but not issue

EDIT : after a full day I note Safari's lag is back (mainly on tabs close/switch) after many app use and alternate sleep/wake - Rebooting improve Safari lags for a while - At this time this is the main issue in my use

For both my hacks the update went as smooth as butter. Experienced none of the issues that have so far been reported in this thread. Oh I forgot, for both my rigs I needed to run @toleda 's audio script to get audio working again, no big deal as that was expected. The new Nvidia webdrivers also work like a charm but then I never experienced Nvidia webdriver problems on these rigs at all in the past. Using sysdef 17.1 for my Skylake build with 2 LG-27UD58 4k monitors connected via display port to the GTX 970. The Haswell with sysdef 14.2 uses 2 hdmi connected 23 inch Dell monitors set for 1080p.
