Today Apple released macOS High Sierra 10.13.2 Supplemental Update, a separate major point update to macOS High Sierra. This update focuses directly on patching the Spectre and Meltdown exploits. Update any supported system using the built-in Software Update functionality through the Mac App Store, or by using the standalone installer available from Apple.com.

Be sure to back up any important data, and if possible clone your hard drive before applying the update. If you have any issues post-update, press spacebar, and boot using Safe Mode.

What we know about 10.13.2 Supplemental Update so far...
  • macOS Build 17C205
  • Updated Intel, NVIDIA, and AMD graphics drivers
  • This update will replace your audio drivers. If you enabled Realtek onboard audio using MultiBeast or the cloverALC script, no changes will be necessary.
  • If boot stalls upon update, install FakeSMC.kext in /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other
  • Install macOS High Sierra App has been updated - If you downloaded macOS High Sierra from the App Store prior to today, and you want to have the latest version on your backup installer USB, simply log into the Mac App Store and click Download. The updated Install macOS High Sierra App can be found in the Applications folder.
Testing is now underway- this post will be updated. Good luck, and let us know how it goes! Report your results here.

Pre Update Notes:
- This update may break some of your High Sierra functions, like audio and the nVidia Web drivers. Make sure you backup first.:thumbup:

- If you're using nVidia drivers for your GeForce GTX 750, 750Ti, 960, 970, 980, 980 Ti, Titans 'Maxwell' and GTX 10x0 "Pascal" graphics cards, you'll need wait until Nvidia releases updated drivers! When the drivers are updated, the link will be available in Post #1.

- For those who are using the MacPro6,1, iMac15,1, or iMac17,1 system definitions may need to re-apply the black screen fix. The updates to the Lilu.kext, WhateverGreen.kext and NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext are in the Downloads > Kexts area.

Here's the step by step way to update for those who aren't using the Nvidia Maxwell/Pascal graphics cards. For Nvidia Maxwell card users, see below
:ch: Backup your current installation using Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper;
:ch: Download the High Sierra 10.13.2 Supplemental Update or Combo Update in Post #1 or the Update from Apple's Mac App Store and run it to update 10.13.2 - the updater will reboot upon completion;
:ch: At the Clover boot screen, choose "Install macOS from (your drive name)";
:ch: Upon rebooting into Sierra, you can:
:ch: Check to see if your audio is working. If not, use toleda's CloverALC130 script & your audio should be OK,
:ch: (Optional) Update to the latest version of Clover,
:ch: (Optional) Check to see if your TRIM setting has survived through the update (About this Mac > System > System Report > SATA/SATA Express) - if not, use the "trimforce" Terminal command (1); if you've used the "trimforce" command in 10.13.0, then it should "survive" the update, but check to make sure; and
:ch:Re-boot.

For Nvidia Maxwell/Pascal graphic cards users (see 2nd and 3rd note above), you'll need to do the following once the Nvidia web driver is released for 10.13.2:
:ch: Backup your current installation using Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper;
:ch: Download the High Sierra 10.13.2 Updater or Combo Update in Post #1 or use the Mac App Store.
:ch: Download the latest Nvidia web driver for 10.13.2 (when available).
:ch: Run the High Sierra 10.13.2 Supplemental Update - the updater will reboot upon completion;
:ch: At the Clover boot screen, choose "Install macOS from (your drive name)";
:ch: Upon rebooting, run the Nvidia web driver pkg and reboot when its completed it's installation;
:ch: Check to see if your audio is working. If not, use toleda's CloverALC130 script & your audio should be OK.

Please post help requests in the High Sierra Desktop Support Forum section (not in this thread).

1 Use the new Terminal trimforce command in the following manner:
Code:
sudo trimforce enable

2014 rMBP updated build to reflect: 17C205.

Awaiting NVIDIA web drivers to update Hackintosh.

Edit: Updated once the NVIDIA driver became available. No issues during installation and reboot process(es). Apollo Twin interface is working fine. Good deal.

Everything perfect on Z97M-D3H with R9 280 :)

Updated to 10.13.2 (17C205), via the App Store. No problem.

No changes to APFS? or Darwin?

No changes to APFS? or Darwin?

Looks as if the kernel version (17.3.0) hasn't changed. APFS hasn't changed either.

Update, everything was smooth. Then Nvidia drivers weren't out so I used webdrivers.sh, rebooted and I am stuck here, with or without nv_disable
