macOS 10.13.1 Update

FYI for all, I had the "OSInstall.mpkg appears to be missing or damaged." error.

In my case it took updating to the very latest Clover (r4289), and removing OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi from Clover. None of the suggestions above helped me.

You did remove the wrong driver. You should remove EmuVariableUefi-64.efi and it wil walk through.

Do you see any benefit to the update? The reason I ask, is that at present 13 is so buggy that I am constantly having to restart due to weird unaccountable stuff happening, sometimes a restart nets me a circle slash sign.:banghead: Audio preferences change (the port out changes from "green" to "black" port) wifi turns itself on when I have it turned off, etc... and here's the kicker, I installed Lilu 1.2, AplleALC 1.2 last night and now they are back to to 1.1.4. This is really making me crazy. Can anyone explain this?

Well, my first thought with all that weirdness is that it sounds like your motherboard battery is dying, even though your profile lists a somewhat recent MB chipset.

You shouldn't need to remove windows drives if you select F12 (or equivalent for your motherboard) on first reboot of the 10.13.1 update.

Also for Nvidia owners (like my 1080 ti) notice that 30 bit drivers kick in with the new Nvidia driver.

downloaded the full update ... worked like a charm

hi. I'm running the update 10.13.1 following the instructions :
  • Mounted EFI
  • Replaced apfs.efi with the updated one (see first post in thread)
  • Moved /EFI/CLOVER/Drivers64.UEFI/EmuVariableUefi-64.efi to Desktop (I need it for later)
  • Apple Store : update to 10.13.1
  • Upon reboot, install from "Install macOS from (your drive name)"
  • Installation finalized, reboot to "your drive name" this time
  • Mounted EFI
  • Copied back EmuVariableUefi-64.efi from Desktop to /EFI/CLOVER/Drivers64.UEFI/
  • Reboot
But my audio was disabled like I expected....so when I try to run toleda's CloverALC130 script I have this messages from the patch:
I don't know what to do...if I a choose ID 1 every time I reboot my sound bar makes a little scratch but nothing more happen

Update to 10.13.1 by App Store without any problems.
Everything works well and with stability.
To avoid error during installation of NVIDIA Web Drivers you might choose to enable SIP temporarily. Edit Colver configuration file, set SIP related setting CsrActiveConfig to 0x00.
Reboot.
Once you have got proper version of NVIDIA web drivers follow this procedure:
  • Mount EFI partition of your Clover
  • Edit Colver configuration file, set SIP related setting CsrActiveConfig to 0x67
  • Do not reboot yet!
  • Install Nvidia Web Driver and reboot as installer demands.

Worked like a charm for me did the following:

- Updated apfs.efi
- Updated nvidia 10.13 drivers to .121
- Updated Clover
- Ran Installer
- Booted to macOS Installer (Did this by default)
- Install completed
- Rebooted into system
- Changed config2 to none as per https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/solving-nvidia-driver-install-loading-problems.161256/ which i do every updated
- Booted into OSX, installed latest nvidia drivers for 10.13.1
- Rebooted.

I finally installed the update, and I got stuck in a reboot loop with an incomplete installation. I removed the Nvidia web drivers with Terminal (#2) and that got me out of the loop to finish the installation. Nvidia web drivers updated after installation was completed and so far everything is back to normal!
