So, shoud we use TRIM or not in APFS SSD?
I'm using it without a problem so far, but...
NO, I got a slow boot and KP after enable TRIM.
Be careful

Gents,

Since 10.13.0 i have my TRIM Enabled. Actually, from 10.12 to 10.13 update I converted the file system from HFS to APFS.

This gives a slow boot time. I have tried disabling TRIM by:

- removing the clover patch for trim
- running : sudo trimforce disable which restart mac.

Both is not working and I'm stuck with TRIM enabled.

Any Ideas please

Hello, what SSD disk do you have? On High Sierra with NVMe disks TRIM is enabled automatically. It cant be turned off.

Everything smooth and fine on my rig, running on 10.13.1.

But still on HFS - doesn't someone know, why my rig was not updated to APFS during Sierra - High Sierra update? I didn't disable APFS update, even though it remained on HFS. Could be problem my older Kingston V300 SSD 120 GB? Thanks for info :)

Any idea why new macOS updates are not shown in appstore here ?

Just wait for a while...
that wont change a thing, macOS updates are not shown at all here since high sierra. the previous update wasnt shown either. Funky tho is that any other updates are shown eg xcode, itunes etc...
