macOS 10.12.4 Public Beta

Status
Not open for further replies.
I'm using an old version of Clover, and my Radeon 7750 with verde.kext stopped working, I replaced it with my older 6670 which worked fine except no Night Shift.

Main problem with 10.12.4 beta was that every .mp4 or .mkv needed to be verified before playing. Didn't matter if I used VLC, Quicktime or MPlayerX. Completely annoying and took ages. 2 files (of 4) from different sources refused to play correctly, even when copied to another computer (Windows), I can't blame MacOS for sure but I rolled back to 10.12.3 for now.

Safari freezes the computer when web pages load a video. Same web page in Chrome loads fine and doesn't freeze.

There was a Kext patch to AppleIntelFramebufferAzul that isolated the HD4600 and fixed this problem. The new AppleIntelFramebufferAzul in 10.12.4 has been changed and the kext patch no longer works.

I replaced the AppleIntelFramebufferAzul in 10.12.4 Public Beta with a patched one from 10.12.3 final. So far no freezes with Safari and videos.

New seed... 12.4 beta 2 (16E154a)

Finished the update to Sierra 12.4 beta 2 (16E154a) and Clover r4003.
Everything works fine and stable except for NvidiaWebDrive. With the plist edited for 16E, it recognizes the graphic card and has some resolutions, but without full acceleration...

I was feeling lucky and tried to update my hackintosh. I couldn't boot without a panic. I messed around with some things for a while, but decided it isn't worth it. The kexts in the backtrace seemed kinda random usually; IOSCSIarchitectureModelFamily, or IOAHCIBlockStorage, or some AirPort, Bluetooth, or USB. I think I will wait for now.

On a semi unrelated now; I thought I had my power management set up perfectly and the Intel Power Gadget just didn't like my 5820k, but after seeing your post, clearly I am wrong  It seems like I am always learning something or new or trying to improve my setup :D

Do you know that there will be able to change Apple in this version that stays loaded in the second boot and not passes from there not even using the verbose mode?
Best regards

Solved with clean installation of the Clover and after the Post installation configure the clover and add the Kexts.

Hi,
Although we have different hardware, if you are using Smbios macpro 6.1 try with my EFI.
In the configurations of my Asus X-99 Pro USB 3.1 I use:
UEFI Bios 3402 Unlocked
USB - Smart Auto - Enable - Enable - Enable
EIST - Disabled
CPU - Sync All Colors
Secure Boot - Other OS
Everything else is by default.
My SSDT is specific to the 5820K and you can use it.
About DSDT, it has all the X-99 patches, but it's specifically created for my board and graphics card. However it is a matter of trying and seeing the result.
The Freq.Vetors zip is to install on S/L/E and then you have to repair permissions. For this I use the Kext Wizard.
