@MacMan: If you have a sec, I purchased all of the components you did except for my case and fans. I noticed you have the H75, but everywhere I have seen says that a 240 rad is not enough for the i9-9900 cpu. Have you had any issues with temps? Have you swapped out the AIO yet for a larger rad?

Thanks for all the hard work you've put in over the years!

I don't have any issues as I use 2 fans on the radiator in a push pull configuration.

Help, I have BIOS version 1104 on my Z390-E Gaming. I created a Mojave USB install drive, stuck a apfs_module_start:1393. I also cannot install the patch in this tutorial. I may be doing something wrong. I tried Mojave, Sierra and Catalina, and can't get to install.

@MacMan Hi! Thanks for the detailed build instructions. I'm having issues with applications like Ableton installing but not loading. (All I get is the blank box in the picture.) My safari tabs displaying black/glitchy. I've copied your build for the most part. (Same processor and motherboard, except I'm using a Viper 16GB 2666MHz single stick of RAM and a Samsung HD 860 EVO hard drive.) I first did this same build with a Gigabyte Z390 UD board and experienced the same issues. The only change I've tried so far is switching from profile iMac19,1 to MacMini 8,1.
which according to another guide I had read, it may help with graphics.

I'm wondering if you had any insight. I would love to get this build finished. It's a project for a music producer friend, and his laptop is barely alive, ATM lol.

I have figured out the issue. I am not getting graphics acceleration with the integrated UHD 630. I put a GTX 650 Ti Boost video card in, and it worked out of the box. Now I don't have the issues. But I would still like to get the on board graphics to accelerate so I can put the GPU back in my other computer. Any tips would be super appreciated.

I purchased the GIGABYTE Z390 AORUS PRO WIFI from the recommended build list but have now realized it requires some tweaks. Unfortunately, that may be beyond my technical skills, but I will give it a shot. I did do everything else so far and got to the forbidden screen attempting to install.

I received the following error when attempting to merge the file:
Farhans-MacBook:~ farhanqureshi$ /usr/libexec/PlistBuddy -c "Merge ASUS_ACPI :ACPI:DSDT:" /Volumes/ESP/EFI/CLOVER/config.plist

Merge: Error Reading File: ASUS_ACPI

The ASUS_ACPI file is sitting in my downloads folder and does not show any extension. I was unable to unzip it using The Unarchiver. Appreciate any feedback

My new system components:
GIGABYTE Z390 AURUS PRO WIFI
Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 580
32GB RAM (16GBx2)
Samsung 500GB 860 EVO SSD

The reason it's failing is you don't have the path to the ASUS_ACPI file correct. The command assumes that ASUS_ACPI is in the current directory. If you are in your $HOME directory the correct path would be /usr/libexec/PlistBuddy -c "Merge ./Downloads/ASUS_ACPI :ACPI:DSDT:" /Volumes/ESP/EFI/CLOVER/config.plist

Thank you much for spelling it out for me. I will update and give it a shot!
