iMac19,1 can be used if "-no_compat_check" boot argument is added to config.plist.
But everything SMBIOS-related would not function correctly, as the OS is not familiar with iMac19,1 ;)

Up to you if you want to try. I had no problems when I tried.

Re: 18,1 vs 19,1. I got my box assembled last night, and nothing went "pop" when I turned it on. With the i9-9900K, I have to decide if I want to wait for 10.14.5 to come out, or see about installing 10.14.4, and then updating to .5 when it comes out.

I'm not experienced enough to know if UniBeast/MultiBeast will actually install -different- software based on the 18 or 19. If it does, I'll likely just wait for the official release of 14.5.

If not, then if I go with 14.4, is it just a matter of changing the 18.1 to 19.1 in the config.plist? (That would make life too simple, I expect.)

Thanks again.

Done here, I guess. Went ahead and used 19,1, and after a few false steps (remember NVRAM!) I'm running Mojave. Between 2x and 3x my 3770 build (and that's w/o any OC.) Now I'm off to the Post build forum with a few questions. Thanks to one and all!

No, as I'm not running the special iMac 2019 build of 10.14.4.

I expect it to show in 10.14.5.
Can I use TUF Z390m-Gaming to build a hackintosh with this tutorial?

Will my Asus z390 Maximus Xi Extreme i9-9900k work with 19,1....?

Don't know, you can try...
Using -no_compat_check is necessary if you run a version that does not support it. Using 19,1 in that case is like using 37,9 (or something else made up - BenMac99,23?), it's not recognized either way, AFAIK.
I'd generally avoid it, and use a supported SMBIOS/update to the special build, but @pastrychef said he's having no issues :)

I recommend you wait to 10.14.5 is released (within the next couple of weeks) before you use the iMac19,1. The reason is that the iMac19,1 was released after 10.14.4 was released, and 10.14.4 does not have native support for iMac19,1. The real iMac19,1 has a "special" updated version of 10.14.4.

I use special version of 14.4.4 System Version: macOS 10.14.4 (18E2034)
I'm using 9900K + RX580, So without HD630 system It's not very powerful on FinalCutPro.
I waiting 14.5 to try disable HD630 from bios and then I should find solution for fake CPU. System should see 9900FK not 9900K..
Did someone find this solution ?

Are you using an i9-9900KF? If yes, try using iMacPro1,1 system definition.

iMac18,x and iMac19,x expects IGPU to be available and things will not work right if you don't have IGPU.
