Hey guys! I recently came across a problem.
You see, I applied the 1.7.3 update today, and I'm getting mach_kernel error when i try to boot without the iBoot disk. I've done some digging around and i found out that this problem can be caused by the missmaches in the disk indexes. Since chameleon tries to boot from hd (0,1) and according to the bootloder configuration tool the OS is actually on hd(1,1) , tried using the swap hd indexes option, so far with 0 luck. I truely believe that this error is only a minor thing and there is no need to reinstall the whole system. Is there anyway to completely remove the current bootloader and reinstall a fresh one?
I also read that a lot of you updated to 1.7.4 without any problems. Should i try applying that update?
Thank you for your time reading this.
Later!
Edit: Also noticed that the bootloader configurator tools sets itself back to default everytime I close it.
