I am up to buy a new rMBP and want to give my 8,2 HighRes (1680x1050) MBP 15" to my mom. Now, her eyes ain't the best. I found an ugly solution to use TinkerTool to resize font sizes a bit.
Better though would be to have the display scaling options of those Retina MBPs. Anyone with 4K monitors, did you manage to do so? I know 10.9.3 is going to fix it for external monitors, but my guess is not for 8,2 High Res MBPs. I'd like to scale up the UI elements and fonts a bit, that's all. Any chance?
