Hi everyone, I am a new beginner on Hackintosh, at March 2020 open up a web talk about Hackintosh,
My mind blow away! I build PC always but never think about can build a Hackintosh!
Follow the guide OC, step by step and try & error, fixing the kext and driver problem. When I create my config plist It recall my memory, very similar MSDOS config, that experience help me a lot.

Most tricky on this build is about the casing, display stand, internal speaker and amp.
Mix and match over 10 different Amplifier work with the original internal speaker, turn out load and clear, I happy with it. quite enjoy this build, Thank you guys!

Retina display - good work
Mac Pro case - sh!t

Very impressive!!

Are you using a Thunderbolt add-in-card to drive the 5K monitor, or using DisplayPort/HDMI from the RX 5700XT?

Thank you guys, this project start from the broken down mac pro at bone yard, fully scratch and dents, that's why repaint it. my paint skill poor...
About the display connect dp port with 5700xt, save the type C connect with macbook.
display components come from United state, China, Israel. mix and match with different parts. especially the sounds, very close to the original imac pro. happy with it. The logic board pretty good, single dp cable working fine at 5k, type c and Hdmi2.0 also available.

Amazing work !! Probably my favorite Mac Pro mod !

I would be happy to learn how you did the for the front ports / buttons.

Everything awesome !!!!!
Except, yellow front IO holes.
:silent:
It should have been thought more about them.
Maybe "usb 3" blue, or something different.
I guess that yellowish look comes from base coat paint.
Feels like paint leaked under wrap cover during painting.

But everything other looks amazing.

@joe6187
I am on a project now.

Do you suggest me to go with electrostatic powder paint or something else.
I don't have an experience.
I will take case to a painter who has curing oven after paint.
Can powder paint looks smoooooth, or rough surface, like an orange pee?

Those yellowish area is the plastic frame of each connector hole.
Try to remove them before repaint, a bit odd without those plastic frame, so keep them seat there.
Not sure electrostatic powder paint can work with different material in one object.
The case included Alloy, steel, plastic...

Did you printed a pcb and soldered the usb connectors for the i/o front ? Or maybe a 3d printed piece holding usb cables ?
I wanted to to the same on my mod but I still haven't found how I was gonna do it, your experience could inspire me.

That is the single coolest video and mod I've ever seen!! what a great job!
I have 2 of those same cases/computers still in the garage and was contemplating modding them but no way I can do what you did.
