Careful... The MacPro shelf and the outer case are difficult to cut. The shelf is made from steel and the outer case is quite thick. Making clean cuts that look nice will be near impossible. Not to mention -- how will you "seal it back up" after you cut the bottom out of the case??

I think you're asking for trouble...

If you're intent on having a full ATX Mobo, the G5 case with a mobo tray is the way to go... If you are intent on having dual optical drives, then you really should consider a micro-ATX mobo. Otherwise you will spend a lot of time on sheet metal work... Make sure you are really prepared to do that before you start cutting...
