God I'd love you, if you could do a more detailed step by step guide. When and where to use your different attached files.

Download the AppleHDA.kext, right mouse clik to show content of the kext, open the info.plist with text editor, look for <key>LayoutID</key>, change the integer value to "9" and save. I think that was what he meant.

Edit: But your board GA-x99 UD4 have a different onboard chipset sound. Your board have Realtek ALC1150 that should work fine with voodooHDA.

Yes i have Gigabyte X99P-SLI and i couldnt get Toleda AppleHDA.kext to work, downloaded the latest voodooHDA 2.8.9 Clover and it worked straight away

It's that time of the year again!

Thanks to all of you in the community, I've had a great 2 year run on my x99 hack. It is time to move on to Sierra and I am going to change my mobo from the UD4 (rev 1) to the newer Gaming 5P. CPU and GPU will remain unchanged. UD4 has served me well, but rev 1 is forever limited to 2666 max mem speed and still random cold boot issues. The 5P also supports Broadwell-E if I ever need to upgrade in the future.

Compared to my current setup it looks like I just need to do the following:

• Lastest version of Clover
• AppleALC.kext to get the SoundBlaster working
• Remove Fake CPUID, no longer needed
• Killer 2200 ethernet kext, instead of Intel

Nothing else on my current 10.11 rig should need to change right? I only have the following:

• Patching for USB 3.0
• SSDT for overclocking
• AHCI patch
• External icons patch
• nVidia web driver/boot argument
• Disable SIP

One last question for anyone who has tried - will an upgrade from 10.11 to 10.12 work or must I do a full fresh install?

Tried your guide with Asus x99 deluxe USB 3.1 and 5960x...I removed sm951 string in configure.plist and booted. But I've kernel panic after creating USB xhci string. Maybe I must delete your USB patch?

I can't figure out how to follow this procedure for my GA-X99-UD4 / 5960X rig.
Where to find a real and clear procedure for either El Capitan or Sierra.
I'm suck with Yosemite since ages :-/

1 Disable nvidia graphics

2.Dont use fake cpu ID just leave blank

3.Dont add dsdt and wifi kext and AppleALC.kext

4.install All kext and UEFI 64 drivers

5.Add Change 15 Port Limit To 30 patch.

6.Make sure install X99_Injector USB 3.kext and FakeSMC.kext uefi drivers and config.plist

Clover boot menu space bar to select verbose boot.

After OSX install you have to install graphics

If you have Nvidia Graphics card Install patched AppleGraphicsControl.kext and install with patched DSDT and AppleALC.kext

Enable nvidia graphics or change config.plist from after install folder

Restart.
