But only on notebooks. Apparently Apple feels Ivy Bridge is not that much of a processor speed improvement over Sandy Bridge, as do I.

It is definitely an improvement over Sandy Bridge when it comes to graphics and power consumption, though, which is why I think we only see Ivy Bridge on the new notebooks and not on iMacs.

There will also be possible Nvidia 6xx graphics card support in the future Mountain Lion, it seems.

I wonder if they will mess things up again with networking protocols. In my network I have a self built nas with Oracle solaris 11 that I use as time machine + AFP shares; fingers crossed.

Perhaps not all new Macs have been born yesterday, perhaps arriving with Mountain Lion.
Apple probably still has surprises.....
