have you tried npci=0x2000 or npci=3000 bootflag?
 
Anyone knows if updating from 10.7.4 will break the currently working usb 3 kext installed with multibeast 4.6.1?
If it does, is there a fix for it?

gtx 550ti is ok. Updated with combos, rebooted and lost the sound.
Resolved with multibest.

you need to run multibeast mate, my audio stopped as well.
 
Nearly flawless update, only need to re-enable Trim support. I use a firewire sound card, so audio is working. No need to edit kext for GTX 580 this time.

I'm seeing the same thing now; TimeMachine is dead slow. I backup over the network using the AppleIntelE1000e kext.
