Mac OS X 10.7.3 Update - The Official Thread (Desktops)

Hey there,
I also ran the combo update and everything has gone well. But one problem that lasts is that i can't get my onboard audio running anymore (Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3). I tried to rerun MultiBeast Audio ALC8xxHDA as well as AppleHDA Rollback.

Did I forget something or is there another possible way to fix it?

Thanks,
Max

Can't for the life of me get it to boot. To the guy a couple of pages back, it didn't work =[

My error is
RTC: Only single RAM bank (128 bytes)

It doesn't give me a KP, it just hangs forever.

Ok, after a bit of messing around I'm completley out of ideas. That isnt exactly the error, but the hang is directly after that with no message, and no KP.
I've disabled by DSDT, added all sorts of start up args, and I don't know what I can do to get it to boot.
I have a backup, but I'm not really in the best situation to reinstall everything at the minute.
Does anyone know what I can do?

The only thing that it could possibly be would be some sort of graphics power kext. I used the nvidia enabler from kexts.com, so I don't know exactly what it changed.

=/

I just installed 10.7.3 on my backup drive and it worked flawlessly
I'm now downloading it to my system drive to do the install where it counts.
Wish me luck

Well good thing I waited to run the update on my primary drive.
itunes keeps crashing on my backup. lost audio (got it back by running multi beast)

Gonna try again today

I have success as well with my build!

Step 1 - Create Backup
Step 2 - Download Combo update
Step 3 - Run Combo update
Step 4 - Run Multibeast, System Utilities, ALC8xxHDA and AppleHDA Rollback
Step 5 - Reboot

Thanks Tony and everyone else who tested!

GraphicsEnabler=No brings me to the brightest of white light man has ever seen on my screen, after fading to grey...

Gotta be one of the best boots thus far though! o_O

check your boot menu order in your bios, if the ssd is not first then move it there :)

I can't boot into mac after the combo update... getting an IOSUSBFamily kernel panic. I tried rboot with GraphicsEnabler=no and -x and PCIRootUID=1 and I still can't boot. Any pointers?

Updated like a champion Mac Pro for me!

--Downloaded through Apple menu
--installed
--rebooted
--posted a big THANK YOU to all the dudes behind the Hackintosh!

(Note: I didn't need to rollback AppleHDA because I could never get onboard audio working with my Dell Optiplex 990 no matter what I tried, so I ended up buying an $8 USB audio-adapter which is mac-compatible. Plug-n-play. The speakers or mic plug into that and I'm good as gold)

Now I can install iMessage beta - YAY!
