Hello, I managed to build my first hackintosh that looks as close to mac mini as it is possible. From a friend I had an mac mini aluminum case with scratched top. So I cut the top part of the case and used another mac mini case bought from china :) I put intel dh61ag motherboard inside with i7-3770S (with custom heatsink) and all this stuff is upside down and cooled with big silent noctua fan. See the pictures :) In the bottom part, there is 500GB Seagate HDD with Gainward GeForce GT630 GPU, with custom made passive heatsink.

Code:
Hardware:
Intel DH61AG motherboard
Intel i7 3770S processor
8GB RAM (1333MHZ)
256GB Samsung SSD MiniPCIe
Atheros Wifi+Bluetooth MiniPCIe
Seagate 500GB 7200RPM SATA disk (this item is the loudest)
Gainward Geforce GT 630 GPU

kajaba I for one would like to see more detail of your project. Did you have any issue using an Ivy Bridge processor on a second generation motherboard?

I like what you have done here and I am impressed that you were able to get all of that tech into this chassis. How hot/cool does it run?

Good modding

Nice idea. Where exactly did you get the case from?

Great for first project for sure.

Read closer - it is made from 2 Mac Mini aluminum cases

Yeah i get that. But thats not the answer to the question where he purchased the 2nd case from china.

Ah big thx ebay looks fine. ≈52€ from China. Last year i checked there were no cases around.
