M.2/NGFF/mSATA as OSX boot drive?

I can confirm this works on my Gigabyte Z77x-ud5h with 2x 512GB Samsung KP-941 in Raid 0. Bootable with Clover. I am running an older version of clover.

Tony's link to http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte/28441-gigabyte-latest-beta-bios.html has a beta bios F5d that I downloaded and upgraded to. Now I can select my Samsung XP941 that is sitting in my Bplus M2P4A M.2 PCIe adapter. It is much faster than my old Samsung 850 pro SSD.

I have bought HyperX Predator SSD 480GB M.2 PCIe now. Can find it in OSX, but not boot. Any know how i can fix it? I think i missing some Drivers in the bios.

I got it boot when i disabled CSM in bios. but now i don't get fully res

Jaco - Did you manage to get the HyperX working on the Sabertooth x79?

I have been eying fast drives for this board, eagerly wanting to pull the trigger but have yet to confirm a working PCIe solution.

I have the Samsung_M2_DXE inserted into the most recent BIOS, and an extra BIOS chip on the way to try it with.


I am hoping this will let me boot with the SM951 AHCI and Lycom adapter.

I followed the instructions in Post #19 and used the DXE file on post #95 of this thread:

I had to use the BIOS flashback as opposed to using the utility in the BIOS. Very pleased.

are u using any pcie adaptor or just software raid?
