We might have a new champion for the slimmest CPU cooler on the market.

Silverstone AR04

Thanks I have added it to the list on the first post, downside is it is only rated for 65w

I came across another one also, similar to the Zalman but not as cool (pun intended).

Akasa AK-CCE-7106HP
http://www.akasa.co.uk/update.php?t...lers&type_sub=Low Profile&model=AK-CCE-7106HP
Specs: 30mm High - 87 x 85mm - 73w TDP - 220g
Fan: Inbuilt 75mm PWM Fan - 15mm high - 3000rpm - 29dBA - 33 cfm
Used on this build http://www.tonymacx86.com/others/115763-building-mac-mini3-i3-3225-fusiondrive-ga-b75n-itx.html

Here is another to add to the list:

cm g4.jpg

Cooler Master GeminII M4
137 x 122 x 59mm (including fan)
500 – 1,600 RPM
8 - 30 dBA
210g
Didn't see a TDP, but supports all CPUs up to i7 Extreme

Edit: Received this one today. I am not impressed. The CPU face of the heatsink was not level and rocked noticeably when set on the CPU without thermal paste. Exposed heat-pipes sounds like a good idea, but in this case it made for an uneven surface. You can also make out the aluminum backplate of the CPU plate was slightly bowed. Some of the fins were not firmly attached to nearby fins. I can imagine it could make for some nasty squeaks and vibrations.

Here is another cooler. Not the lowest profile at 58 mm tall, but it is a sharp bit of engineering.

I have it installed on my test stand evaluating it with a i7-4770K on a MSI Z87M-G43.

The cooler works great with PWM fan following the load. Very quite under normal loads.

From the top of the fan to the surface of the motherboard is 64.7 mm and there is good clearance all around.

However this i7-4770K runs hotter then my first one so I may venture into “delidding”.

Good modding,
neil
