Hi Guys - I have been getting low geekbench scores ever since the new update. I ran multibeast with my MB's DSDT and have also selected the SSDT for my i7 processor but the scores are still half or less than what they used to be. Any ideas? Thanks!

System specs:

Core i7 2600K OC'd @4.3GHz
GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3
16 GB Corsair Vengeance RAM
ATI Radeon HD6870 1GB DDR5

What's your GeekBench score?
Mine dropped also. But if noticed no performance loss when rendering. I actually have an increase. From what I've read, I don't think Geekbench is optimized for 10.8.3.

Mine is in like 5000s to 6000s. according to hwmonitor my CPU package multiplier is stuck at x16

hey i figured it out -- It was as simple as changing the System definition from Mac Pro 3,1 to Mac Mini 6,1. Now my geekbench score (32 & 64bit) is back at 16000. The HWMonitor reads the multiplier back at x44.

You could have kept your original system definitions. The speed of your system didn't change. Most benchmark programs are not optimized for 10.8.3.
Your Mac is running the same as as before 10.8.3 . Actually it is probably running faster.

I was using the Mac Pro 5,1 setting and only getting a 5000. I switched it to a IMAC 13,1 setting I think and got a 10000. That is with a I7 3.5ghz so I don't think it is working to great.

You have a third generation motherboard and processor and thus should be using Macmini5,1 instead.

About getting a 44 multiplier in HWMonitor, for a processor running at 4.3 GHz tops. That may in fact be artificial, since the processor will only run on one single core at boot time. This is why x42 should be the highest multiplier you get in HWMonitor.

And to give people here an idea; my i5-2500K (Asus P8Z68-V PRO) running at stock speed gives me a Geekbench v2.4.2 score of 10500+ (minimum) with native Apple power management. Your i7-2600K is of course a lot faster, but not as fast as this one.

Very good punctuation. Me with my 2500K and Z68MA-D2H-B3 with OC alone with 11 600 Pts. What profile do you use??
