Hello,

I initially did not purchase a gpu for my mackintosh because I am not a gamer. I just need to code with dual monitors. Dual monitors is a huge problem for intel 530hd card and I have just had enough of trying to work it out.

I need a really low budget graphics card that can support two hdmi connections @1080p to work with dual monitors. The winner goes to the most affordable card. Tried and tested is even better!

For a new card go with https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M9FD3PC/?tag=tonymacx86com-20
you would need one DP to HDMI adapter. Those cost about 8 dollars. A lower cost option would be the
MSI GT1030 which also has one DP and one HDMI output. Both these cards need the web drivers.

For a used card look at older versions of the buyer's guide.

I have one of these and it works oob with Sierra/High Sierra.

Caution: do NOT use nv_disable=1 as a boot flag in Clover if you want the screen to work. As I say, this GPU works oob and needs nothing extra to make it work.
