Using tony's DSDT for the F10 BIOS for my Gigabyte H55M USB3 board. Running OS 10.6.4. Everything works fine EXCEPT the CPU fan gets incredibly loud after running for a few minutes. I know this not a temp issue, iStat and BIOS show temps around 52 for CPU. No matter what I set the BIOS fan control (max, variable) the fan will just ramp up and be very loud. It is a i3 CPU with stock fan with 4 pin header, so speed control should be easy. System does not seem to be recognizing the fan because iStat shows no controls for the fan, and neither does the "Fan Control" application. Is this a problem with FakeSMC? I believe I have the latest from netkas (v2.1 for Snow Leopard if I recall). Please assist.
