Looking for help on running four monitors with a GTX 670
I'm trying to get four monitors working off my GTX 670. Here is a link to the card I have: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125423
I'm running 10.8.3, and have had 3 monitors working flawlessly off the GTX 670 since I built the rig back in december. My monitors are as such:
Asus PA248 24.1" - 1920x1200 @ 60Hz - DisplayPort
IBM LEN LI92p 19" - 1280x1024 @ 75Hz - DVI-D
MAG LT 916s 19" - 1280x1024 @ 75Hz - DVI-I (using DVI to VGA adaptor)
I would like to add my 27" 1080p 60Hz Sanyo TV to the HDMI port, but so far I haven't had much luck.
I'm not exactly sure where to get started on running them all off just the GTX 670. It works as expected in Windows, but not under OS X, so at least I've determined the hardware is good. Earlier today I also tried running the TV off the HD4000... however I had two problems with this. First the HD4000 kext wasn't loaded (not sure why) so I only got 1024x768 resolution... and second, the method to use an IGPU + discreet GPU requires making the IGPU the primary GPU in the bios, which renders me with only 1 monitor and terrible gaming performance in Windows. So I think using the HD4000 won't work out for me as I don't want to have to switch that setting every time I boot into Windows, thus running all four off the GTX 670 is my goal.
I'm fairly certain I read a few forum posts elsewhere of people getting 4 monitors working with their GTX 670 after nVidia released that video driver update for 10.8.2... but I don't think they used the exact card I have, if that matters.
If anyone can help, it's much appreciated. My whole build list is in my sig.
