Looking for compatible graphics card for El Capitan build

I am currently using the parts below, but I am looking to upgrade my graphics card to something that functions better with my current parts. Any recommendations?

Since you wish to use El Capitan, you are restricted to the Maxwell generation of cards (GTX 900 series) if you intend to stick with Nvidia cards. Drivers for the current generation of Nvidia Pascal series graphics cards (1000 series) are only available for Sierra 10.12.6 or High Sierra.

Can you still get your hands on a Maxwell card such as a GTX980 / 970 / 960?
