Gigabyte AMD Radeon HD 7850 2 GB GDDR5 DVI-I/HDMI/2x mini-Displayport PCI-Express 3.0 Graphic Card GV-R785OC-2GD

Download the kext created by hazemhazoom and run KextBeast. It found the card in Slot 1, but will not boot all the way to the desktop. Can any one else confirm if this card is working or not? No joy for me. I went back to my ATI HD 5850 which is working fine.

This kext might not work with your card as hazeemhazoom has a Sapphire Branded card...

Thanks for the replay. Device ID are the same: 0x68191002

So I was lazy and didn't want to get into the two kext (AMDRadeonAccelerator.kext, andATI7000Controller.kext) and modified it myself.

So my specific card even though it is a AMD HD 7850 will not work with a kext hack. Maybe KNNSpeed can add this card in the Don't Work Section.

So there are additional hack in the kext, beside the Device ID? If that is the case I will hack my own.

The hack is only for stoping 7870 from loading because it can cause a problem for some builds

Please add all sapphire 7850 cards
All of them is working with edited kexts

I did that as you without changing anything in the kexts just install them using Kextbeast.I used the Sleep trick and it Worked!I am using I7 3770k with HD4000 set as primary on Asus P8Z77-V, XFX 7850 DD Edition,32gb Corsair. ML 10.8.3
