Lion Webcam

I'm looking for a webcam, have done some searching through these forums, but still need some help. Anyone have any luck with certain webcams and lion? I'm looking a the Logitech C910 as a possibility...

i use the C210

BTW: I am looking for a WEB-cam SW that allows me - when the PC is running - capture images in the background, transfer them onto e.g. ftp-server.
--> the SW should not/must not rely on an open window or so = run in the background

I have tried several of them e.g. Camspinner - but none convinced me....
