I am happy as it is but why not?

Let me rephrase that. It would be totally awesome to have HDMI sound! If I can test anything that is within my capabilities let me know.

There is a compromise, you lose a Line Out with HDMI audio. Still OK?

This one is a Foxconn H67s with a I5 2500K. Managed to extract and patch the DSDT myself and got sound out of it. It all works well and with uniBeast was real painless install. Willing to venture the HDMI sound. By the way sound is superb with your ALC888 kext.

I got hdmi sound working on Foxconn H67s with kext for 888s from kext.com
At least I think I do.TV is connected to hdmi output and sound is coming from it
I am using galaxy gt 430. It has its own chip.
Not using fermi from Multi 4.2. These are older than 10.7.3 nv drivers.
My guess is I am using onboard audio and it is sent to card.

Is there a way to tell where sound is coming from ?

Running voodoo on 4th input
system info (the app that reports from solaria .com)
shows GF 108 device for audio and video and sad face
About this mac shows no audio
Voodoo version 0.2.1 is installed and loaded.

also boot shows 0x8772 unknown chip
seems to be related to power io according to someone doing coding at Tonymac.

Also does Apple write its own code to replace Intel Management engine ?
This is the ME subsystem in bios. It is disabled on mine.
On windows there is a driver from intel for ME.
it is hard to find and Intel when listing available technology does not list it for G530.( my processor ) G530 is 10-20% faster than my e3300 oc to 3.3
About this mac lists processor as i7...
So does Cinebench ( which also says it is single core with dual threads )
Both wrong.

What should I use in Xcode to check this out ?
Is ioregistry editor the way to go ?

Thanks Toleda for kext and dsdt.
I may go back to HD3000. It came up with safe boot with rboot.
It KP'd with latest Chimera in Multi 4.2.
