    I followed this guide to prepare the Thumb drive to install Lion. But while booting from the thumb drive, I am getting this msg:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0E68QVFq4-c

    BootCacheControl: Unable to open /var/db/BootCache.playlist: 2 No such file or directory
    Bug: launchctl.c:2408 (24957):30: (dbfd = open(g_job_overrides_db_path, O_RDONLY | O_EXLOCK | O_CREAT, S_IRUSR | S_IWUSR)) != -1
    nstat_lookup_entry failed: 2
    Previous shutdown Cause: 3
    No interval found for . Using 8000000
    ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::StartForReal - waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement) timed out
    DSMOS has arrived

    After this, it hangs.. Need some help..

    Burn yourself a copy of rBoot. Plug USB and boot from CD. You should see an installer disc icon. You can begin your installation process from there. Use disk utility to format the drive first before installing Lion.

    Good luck

    Thanks for your reply.. I did the same, burnt the rBoot Laptop Edition, and plugged in the USB drive and booted from CD. Now I see my USB installed disk icon. When I clicked on it, I see the Apple screen with spinning circle.. I guess it just hangs over there. Tried to look into the verbose mode: I see the same message at the end. After that it hangs.

    Great!!
    But I am stuck with same error even after using -x -v / -x / -x -v -f

    - ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::StartForReal - waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement) timed out

    After this it hangs..
