Hello. I cant get my Hackintosh to display an image on my LG OLED 55 2017.

I try to connect it with the 1080ti HDMI port but the TV says it has no signal. My Hackintosh detects that a display is connected but nothing more.

Connecting the LG OLED TV to my macbook with the same HDMI cable and port works perfectly.

Also when I connect the same HDMI cable to a pc monitor I get a signal without any problem. So it is only when I connect 1080ti to the LG OLED that the problem arrises.

Please help?

Thanks!

Did you ever get this resolved? Because I have the same issue (I'm also running High Sierra). The TV shows a signal while the computer is booting and even during the Apple logo as it loads into OS X, but as soon as it gets to the point where it should show the sign-in screen, the screen cuts out.

My screen is the LG OLED55B7A, and I've tried plugging into it with HDMI-to-HDMI as well as a DisplayPort-to-HDMI cable, with no luck. Super frustrating since the TV works perfectly fine with my Windows 10 installation on the same system, as well as full functionality on a 2015 MacBook Pro.

I fixed my issue! You'll need to get a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter, but not just any old adapter. It must be Active Display Port to HDMI. This converts the signal to be the proper Hz for the television and then it will just work like a charm with no software fiddling or anything. I got mine off Amazon for $12.99, here's the link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MQR93HZ/?tag=tonymacx86com-20

Surprised how much searching I had to do to find the solution. Seems like a pretty common problem for Hackintosh users to encounter.
