I've a SandyBridge i5-2500, running 10.8.2 and my Geekbench scores are like

Mac: ~4000
Win: ~8000

Is there anybody else out there who recognized such a deviance? With or without solution for this problem..

Strange.. never heard about that..

So basically a SSDT is like a DSDT but for your CPU - so if I would swap my mainboard, I just need a new DSDT but the SSDT would remain the same since it just depends on the CPU. Do I have this right ^?

I've configured my Bios not to overclock the CPU, it uses SpeedStep for underclocking but not TurboBoost for overclocking - the SSDT for i5 CPUs in MultiBeast says
Optimized SSDT supporting Sandy Bridge Core i5 CPUs with a maximum Turbo Boost clock of 3.8 GHz. Installs SSDT.aml in /Extra.
If I start using that, would that override the Bios settings and overclock the CPU nevertheless or would the CPU run max. at 3.30GHz which is the native clock?
