I've heard some reports that changing this can actually brick your laptop, so it's up to you if you want to take the risk to save some battery life (as the GTX860M would be off)

Can you give some more information? I mean, why this is getting a brick?

No need to change BIOS for disabling Nvidia. The guide already does it via ACPI...

Hello there,
When I use IntelliJ IDEA or Android Studio (same) on battery power my y50-70 suddenly shuts down.
I've never noticed this while using other programms.
Can it be something connected with my hac's configuration?
